My Holiday Home Tour

Christmas, dining room decor, farmhouse style December 12, 2012

Normally I would wait until closer to Christmas to reveal all of the house decked out for the holidays, but I wanted to get everything ready for Jennifer Rizzo’s Holiday Home tour party on Monday, December 10th. This post is an overview of my holiday decor, with more detailed photos coming soon. Needless to say, I’ve been busy scurrying around pulling everything together. Without further adieu, here’s a sneak peek of Christmas 2012 at Town and Country Living  … the Christmas Tree is at the very end!

{ THE DINING ROOM }

Simplicity was my goal for 2012 and I think I achieved it.
Nothing too fussy … just pops of Christmas here and there.

Green and white is the theme for this year’s farmhouse tablescape.
You can see more of the dining room holiday decor here.

A little wood crate holds evergreens and candles and sits atop a book page table runner.

The green and white theme continues on the dining buffet, with a touch of gold.

{ THE FAMILY ROOM }

A couple of miniature Christmas trees and creamy poinsettias add a natural touch to the family room.
Simple wooden stars hang in the windows in lieu of wreaths.

Puddy takes a cat nap while the candles glow on the blanket chest.

Christmas baubles replace books in the family room bookcase.

Boxwood clippings get tucked in an ironstone pitcher for added Christmas color.

You can see more holiday touches in the family room here.

{ THE STAIRCASE }

A branch painted white gets tied up with fresh greens.
Sparkly ornaments dangle by gold-flecked lace providing a whimsical valance.

Votives tucked in mason jars with “snow” add a little ambiance to the stairs.
You can see more of the stairway decor here.

{ THE BATHROOM }

More poinsettias and boxwood clippings are all that’s needed in the bathroom.

{ THE KITCHEN }

Handmade boxwood wreaths grace the built-in hutch in my 1875 kitchen.

Small pines wrapped in vintage flour sacks sport little red bows.
