Nantucket Summer House: Enjoying Coastal Style

home tour January 31, 2022

A winter storm battered the northeast portion of our country this weekend, leaving thousands without power. As I think about those people digging their way out of the snow, I thought it’d be good to lift some spirits by sharing a beautiful Nantucket summer house by award-winning builder and remodeler, Pinemar, Inc. The home has casual, comfortable style with great use of color and a nod to the sea.

Calming blue hues flow into the family room where photos of sand dollars hint at the beach just outside the window. Pattern keeps the room interesting with a checked rug and print pillows. The rattan coffee table adds a dollop of texture.

Cozy corners beckon you to curl up with a captivating novel and enjoy a casual afternoon. More patterned pillows dot the seating areas.

The Nantucket summer house enjoys a white kitchen with timeless appeal. Windsor chairs cozy up to the kitchen island for a casual meal. The pendant lights above the island are the same as seen in the foyer.

The living room features paneled walls in a sandy color, flanked by navy blue and white. A striped rug underfoot enhances the home’s nautical appeal.

The blue and white coastal color scheme continues up to the second floor with its warm wood floors, the color of sand.

The bathroom features fresh charm with crisp white walls and soft blue accents. Vintage medicine cabinets take their place above the old-fashioned sinks.

Creamy whites and brown come together in one of the bedrooms. Once again, framed artwork showcasing beach elements adorns the walls. I love the fun pattern of the rug against the shell motif bedskirt.

Fun colors of pink and green decorate a young girl’s bedroom. Children’s rooms are always a great space for getting a bit brave with color.

In the boys’ room, punches of red provide energetic accents to the blue and white color scheme.

Cute house …lots of pretty details…love the reading nook…and the use of color… We are nowhere near a beach here in Central Indiana but I think I could live in a house decorated like this.

The blue and white color scheme is so soothing. But I see some touches of that apple green you showed us recently. An all around beautiful house. Love the artwork on the walls, too!

Great way to lift my spirits before the storm coming over the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Love the family room and kitchen. The staircase gives me an idea for our home. Thanks for sharing and stay warm!

Visited Nantucket a few years ago and if I won the lottery it would be where I would buy a summer house.I would decorate it just like this one. It is the most beautiful little island and I hope to return.,
