New Construction Farmhouse in Minnesota
If you enjoy clean white spaces with a bit of color thrown in here and there, you’re going to love today’s featured home! Today we’re touring a new construction farmhouse by Building Concepts and Designs in Minnesota.
The family room above has airy appeal with its vaulted ceiling and row of tall windows. Leather chairs and a blue loveseat anchor the space.
Subway tile lines the walls above the pretty gray shaker style cabinets in the kitchen. Leather makes another appearance on the pretty bar stools. A trio of globe pendant lights brightens the room at night.
Â
I love the quirky little pig book ends on the open kitchen shelving in this new construction farmhouse. A pair of bulldog salt and pepper shakers can be found directly underneath.
Â
A handy butler’s pantry takes on the same design elements as the kitchen itself, with the exception of rich wood counter tops.
Â
A geometric-patterned floor rug sets the stage for the modern farmhouse dining room. A transom window above the triple full-length glass doors makes the ceiling appear taller.
Â
A fireplace provides warmth and light during Minnesota’s short winter days. Plaid throws and striped window treatments add a touch of color in the new construction farmhouse living room.
Â
Similar stripes can be found on the entryway rug with its cute furry bench.
Â
Bold wallpaper envelopes the powder room creating a cozy vibe.
Â
You’ll find more colorful wallpaper on an accent wall in a girl’s bedroom.
Â
In the area where I live, I’m seeing more homes with modern farmhouse style like this one being built. It’s a nice break from all the cookie-cutter track houses that are typical of suburban locales.Â

I was very impressed with how thoughtfully the decor and colors were chosen in this home. While not my taste, I had to appreciate the joy expressed in this home 🙂 It put a smile in my heart!
I ADORE that green wallpaper in the bathroom. Beautiful home. Thanks for sharing Jennifer.
While this is not my style I can appreciate the simplicity of this home and all the little pops of color. My favorite was the was the wallpaper in the bedroom.
I liked the colors they chose to keep it from being quite so modern.
Thanks Jennifer! Love the home – only thing I didn’t care for especially was the green bathroom wallpaper but really like the idea behind it! I always enjoy color
