North Carolina Beach House: Colors of the Sea

home tour April 10, 2022

Let’s head to the southeast to check out a gorgeous North Carolina beach house by Gathered. Inside, you’ll find the soft colors of the sea against a white palette. The decor is beautifully coordinated and I can’t imagine anyone not liking this southern coastal home.

The softer colors of the sea come together in this home with pretty wood floors, paneled walls and ceilings, and even a few wallpapered rooms. The pendant light in the entryway is reminiscent of a sea shell.

The living room is so peaceful and serene, tastefully decorated with both beauty and function in mind. I like that the television is to the left of the fireplace, and not above it. It’s more at eye level for easier viewing. But the real view is right outside the windows where the color of the ocean complements the interior design.

Pieces of art mimic what’s right outside the door, making it feel as though there’s another window above the Shaker style bench.

Gray-blue subway tiles look soothing against white cabinets. Rattan bar stools are the color of sandy beaches.

Patterned roman shades add interest above the kitchen sink. Note the octopus handle on the pitcher under the window.

The dining room wears the same fabric on the drapes.

Even the laundry room in this North Carolina beach house is pretty. I love the soft colors used throughout the home.

Grass cloth wallpaper adorns the master bedroom with its pitched, ship-lapped ceiling.

The master bathroom features wallpaper in slightly wavy blue stripes. Notice the skinny cabinets on either side of the mirror.

A guest bedroom also wears colors of the sea.

The bathroom features the same gray-blue subway tile as seen in the kitchen.

Outside, there are several vantage points for viewing the ocean and surrounding beach.

A large porch is the perfect spot for breezy summer days at the beach.

I hope you enjoyed the fresh appeal of today’s North Carolina beach house by Gathered.

I enjoyed this house and it’s location to the ocean waters. Spring makes me want to start with a clean slate with little decor in my rooms to allow the light to rest in the room openly, if that makes sense. This house has very little decor really and doesn’t need it with that view! Serene.

While I love the serene coastal vibe throughout this house, the dining room table looks cold and not very welcoming to me, without a centerpiece of some kind. Some kind of candles and shells, or a little greenery would make a big difference, IMHO.
