Pink Tile Bathroom and More: Friday Finds #92

Today’s the big day! Hubby and I leave for northern California and I can’t wait to immerse myself in nature. We’re staying in historic Ferndale near the famous Redwoods. I had planned to run a marathon while here, but our winter weather was horrible and not conducive for training. So I’m only running the 10K Avenue of the Giants. I plan to run slow and enjoy the scenery.

Someone left a comment here on the blog suggesting we visit Mendocino. Thank you for that tip! I looked it up and we plan to make a side trip down there. If anyone else has a place of interest we should check out, let me know in the comments below.

And now, let’s get on to Friday Finds where you’ll enjoy a pretty pink tile bathroom, a lovely laundry room refresh, and more.

Let’s start with the laundry room refresh. This laundry room was the inspiration for the new color in my bedroom, Evergreen Fog by Sherwin Williams.

Remember the pink and aqua tile you’d see in bathrooms in the 50s and 60s? Well it looks like it might be making a comeback. Here’s a pretty pink tile bathroom makeover that uses just the right amount of colored tile.

If you’re a fan of mid-century design, you’ll love this mid-century inspired home located in Connecticut. The owners left New York to move there. I think it’s around 5,000 square feet.

I fell in love with this charming Rhode Island kitchen. The color, the layout, the details. What’s not to love?

Do you compost kitchen scraps? We do, and I learned a couple of things from this post about kitchen composting tips. I’ve even thought about getting an electronic composter but they’re kind of expensive so for now I’ll stick with the old fashioned way.

I always end Friday Finds with a recipe. Since the weather is warming up (finally!), I like to make my capellini with tomato cold sauce. It is sooooo good and such a refreshing pasta dish for spring and summer. Let me know if you try it.

Soon I’ll share some pics from our time in historic Ferndale. I’ve heard it has gorgeous Victorian architecture. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe and healthy!
