Beautifully Renovated New England Cottage on Cape Cod

Sometimes I feel like there’s no shortage of pretty homes to share! Today features a beautifully renovated New England cottage by ArchiPlicity, LLC located in the town of Mashpee on Cape Cod. I don’t know about you, but I find the name “Mashpee” to be just as charming as this home.

The front door proudly displays a large oval window and a pretty brass chandelier overhead. Off to the side is a traditional powder room with blue and yellow toile wallpaper.

Rich wood floors and a planked ceiling with painted beams runs the length of the dining room with its farmhouse table and antique chairs.

The kitchen is well designed with a center island and large industrial style stove. Bead board is used the length of the wall, serving as a backsplash. I have bead board as the back splash in my kitchen, too. It’s surprisingly easy to clean.

Another brass light fixture hangs from the vaulted ceiling in front of a trio of windows over the apron style kitchen sink.

What might be surprising in this New England cottage is the open concept floor plan and expanse of custom windows. Note the various pendant lights proving that you don’t have to use exact matches throughout a large space like this.

At the bottom of the stairway is a pale blue vintage glass-front chest. I love the touches of color in this home like the patterned rugs and various vignettes. and I’m in love with the unique light fixture.

Here’s the view from the bottom of the stairway looking into the dining area. Windows at the top of the stairs create a bright space.

A bedroom enjoys a vaulted ceiling with custom windows and door leading out to a balcony.

A gorgeous claw foot tub takes residence in the upstairs bathroom with vaulted ceiling. The cafe curtains are a charming touch.

Another bathroom enjoys a lead glass window with subway tile and a wood top vanity.

  3. What a charming home. All those fixtures and even a chandelier above the claw foot tub were to die for. Thank you for another glimpse of a lovely home.

  4. Hi Jennifer. I like this house too, it’s really charming. Did you notice in that blue cabinet, the collection of Nantucket baskets? They are really beautiful pieces of art. They have a nice collection. Mashpee is a cool little town. I looked up the origin of the name of Mashpee, it’s very interesting. I hope you can visit Cape Cod some day.

    Take care,

  5. You had me at that pale blue glass front cabinet mixed with the darker blue and white china. I have that same look in my home and I just love it. My kitchen cabinets have been many colors, but the pale robin’s egg blue is my favorite!!
Thanks for always sharing such beautiful spaces with us, Jennifer. Checking your daily posts is always a highlight of my day.
