Rustic Charming Home ~ Deer Valley Utah

Charming Home Series, home tour December 27, 2015

Skiing, anyone?  Today’s rustic charming home is located in Deer Valley, Utah – a popular ski resort. I used to ski when I was younger and loved it. I also loved hanging out in the lodges too. They were always rustic and cozy with flames flickering in the fireplace. You could relax on an overstuffed couch gazing out the many windows facing the slopes to watch the skiers. I love the lodge appeal of today’s rustic charming home tour.

A beautiful painted door at the front entrance sets the stage for the entire home. A casual rug on a tiled entry lends texture and warmth as you enter this lodge style home. Plenty of windows provide amazing views of the surrounding beauty.

A stunning living room waits to pamper weary skiers. There’s so much about this room that I love! Gray stained beams lend artistic structure at the vaulted ceiling. A stone fireplace draws your eye upward while an expansive picture window allows a full view of God’s creation outside.

Another expansive window graces the dining room with its simple farmhouse table and chandelier. Casual elegance is created by pairing an upholstered bench with dining chairs. Sometimes it’s best not to match furniture perfectly.

Surprisingly, the kitchen has a bit of a modern vibe, combined with farmhouse style as evidenced by the apron sink. Blue paint on the cabinets create pretty and practical country style. I love painted kitchen cabinets … they wipe clean so easily!

Fun color populates the casual family room. I love the color-blocked drapes that frame more expansive windows.

More fun color and patterns appear in the guest bedroom of this rustic charming home. A knotted rope lamp adds a bit of whimsy, as do the buffalo check benches at the foot of each bed.

A touch of elegance is added to the rustic master bedroom with its monogrammed pillow shams and luxury bedding. A large patterned rug adds just the right touch of color.

Primary colors brighten a boys bedroom with industrial style bunk beds.

I love this 3-faucet farmhouse sink. Perfect for families with multiple children!

After a day of skiing, dine al fresco on the deck or simply relax and enjoy the magnificent views!

I think every house in the Park City / Deer Valley area is absolutely stunning, they all seem like they are out of a magazine! My mom lived there for awhile, and I loved going to all of the fancy houses! This one is beautiful!
