From the large wrap around porch to its easy-living style, I think you’ll fall instantly in love with this beautifully, charming home.
White clapboard siding and black shutters create elegant yet casual appeal. Brick steps lead you to the deep wrap around porch, the quintessential icon of any Southern home. Cozy lighting creates warm appeal on lazy summer nights, while a glimpse of the gorgeous staircase peeks through the open front door.
A spacious porch swing provides welcome relief at the end of the day, flanked by two metal vintage porch chairs. Lime green end tables are perfect perches for a glass of lemonade or iced tea and add fun color to this end of the porch with its geometric-patterned rug.
Large planters spill over with greenery and flowers, flanking the front door of this southern farmhouse with full sidelight panels. A textured welcome mat catches stray dirt before stepping across the threshold.
Inside, neutral-colored curtains draw softness around the home’s front entrance while gleaming wood floors provide rich appeal against white shiplap walls. A painted farm chair lends a bit of vintage whimsy. A simple schoolhouse light finishes off the classic styling of the entry way.
More chippy goodness makes its way into the living room in the form of a weathered sofa table holding books and cherished items behind the white tufted sofa. Healthy plants and a couple of coral-colored flowers lend bits of color to the beautiful, neutral decor of the historic living room. Floor-to-ceiling drapes add elegance while firewood in a simple basket in the fireplace lend casual charm.
A cozy alcove under the stairway creates an inviting reading nook with a slip-covered chair and chippy dresser. Vintage trophies accept casual bouquets of flowers and a nubby rug provides interesting texture underfoot.
White walls and cabinetry brighten the kitchen while black accents lend a bit of drama. Over-sized southern farmhouse lighting becomes a statement piece over the expansive kitchen island. A utilitarian sink in the corner gets a fun treatment with a striped skirt and cafe curtain at the window.
A sea of windows allow ample sunlight to cascade through the windows of the dining alcove. Elegant armchairs pair with rustic wooden bins topped with tufted cushions to provide comfy of seating at meals. When creating the farmhouse look, a bit of black is always a good choice and the designer used the color here in the form of an industrial pendant light.
Blue and white wallpaper adds a touch of color to the classic powder room with black and white tile flooring. A simple utilitarian bench lends a step up to the white pedestal sink. Note the use of a large mirror to cover the window above the sink.
Painted shiplap walls and ceiling provide the classic farmhouse backdrop for this gorgeous, vintage bathroom. A woven textile rug adds texture while a chippy painted chair provides a holding place for towels and clothing while bathing. Simple sconces grace a corner vanity with painted sink cabinet.
Surprisingly, a flood of blue colors one of the bedrooms in this historic farmhouse.
