Spring Decorating in a Farmhouse Kitchen
I love spring! The lengthening of days, birds chirping outside, spring bulbs poking their flowery heads out of the ground, and the promise of life that this season brings. I would be happy living in a Disney movie with Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder! I know that might sound a little dorky, but it’s true. This week I’m celebrating spring by joining hands with several other ladies to bring you, “It’s a Spring Thing.” If you love spring like I do, be sure to visit these gals for spring decorating inspiration (schedule at end of post).
This week I’ve been adding touches of spring decorating in my favorite room … my farmhouse kitchen.
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to pastel colors.
They look so delicate yet refreshing against a white background.
Pink carnations and roses always look pretty in an aqua-colored mason jar.
Sunny daffodils add perky fun in a white painted basket.
Pretty pink roses get tucked into vintage aqua bottles for easy spring decorating.
The vintage bottles are the same hue as the paper bunting.
A flea market vase on the shelf above echoes the aqua hue.
I found this little vase at the flea market a couple weeks ago.
I knew it would be perfect for holding a bouquet of spring tulips.
When it comes to spring decorating, do you prefer yellow flowers, or pink?
I can’t make up my mind. They’re all beautiful!
Sometimes I think a single rose is prettier than a big bouquet of them.
This little corner of my farmhouse kitchen is welcoming spring with open arms.
Last week I shared a spring table setting in the kitchen dining nook.
I have more spring decorating to share on the other side of the kitchen, so stay tuned!
And now for the rest of this week’s “It’s a Spring Thing” tour …
