Spring Flower Arrangement Ideas from Your Yard

Who has spring fever? I know I do! My daffodils are coming up which has me dreaming of spring flower arrangement ideas and using blooms from the yard to create them. So here’s a few ideas to set your wheels in motion for bringing a little bit of spring inside your home.

Spring Flower Arrangement with Pink and Yellow Tulips and Pink Carnations

Tulips always make a cheery arrangement and make great cut flowers. Each fall I’m planting a few more in the yard. The only problem is, I hate cutting them because I like the way they look outside of the house. This is when store-bought flowers can be substituted.

Pansies and violets are the perfect cool-weather flower to bring inside. The more you pick them, the more flowers they produce. It’s a win-win situation. Pick a big bunch and tuck them into your favorite vase or pitcher.

Sometimes simple is best. I love this sweet little spring flower arrangement of daffodils, grape hyacinth, and a sweet English daisy.

Think outside the box – or vase – when making a spring flower arrangement. Place a vase or jar inside a paper bag for a unique look. Add raffia ribbon or baker’s twine to make a bow. Several years ago I painted paper bags to use over mason jars for bouquets.

Hyacinths will fill your home with a sweet, earthy scent that’s unforgettable. This is my absolute favorite flower to bring indoors for fragrance. I’m forcing hyacinth bulbs in my home right now and hope they’ll be blooming soon.

Got lilacs? They bloom so profusely outside that you won’t notice that some went missing after being cut for indoor use. This is my second go-to flower for enjoying spring fragrance.

Can we talk about Virginia Bluebells? I have tons of them all over in the late spring. They’re mostly blue with a few pink buds here and there. I love the way their pretty heads droop over to create a cascading flower arrangement.

You can always use spring bulbs for an indoor arrangement. Add a few pussy willow branches for some texture and fun.

  2. Everything is blooming early this year. Azaleas fading, amaryllises blooms appearing. We had a couple of chilly weeks but mid 80s are here again in Ocala FL!

  3. I love spring with the first onset of flowers that will continue throughout the summer and fall. So far the crocus’s have been out these past couple of weeks and the tulips and the daffodils are starting to peek out here in Vancouver Canada. We are still having chilly days and rain but it seems the flowers don’t care. Can’t wait till my lilac bush blooms they always smell so pretty.

  4. OH, I can’t wait for my spring bulbs to bloom. I’m in mid west Michigan, so we still have a few small snow piles here and there, but they should be gone by this weekend. Our winter was surprisingly mild, so we are all hoping for an early spring. I have clumps of daffodils trying to show me spring is just around the corner.
