Sweet Little Courtyard Deck and Adorable She Shed

Yesterday I visited our local nursery and garden center and it got me thinking about ways to improve my outdoor spaces, which is something I’m always pondering. This in turn inspired me to share this sweet little Alabama courtyard deck and she shed photographed by Kayla Stark.

The focal point of this courtyard style yard, in my opinion, is the adorable garden shed which was turned into a she shed containing a charming office area.

Open the door and you’ll see the charming office inside.

Of course the she shed has a pink door! A comfy outdoor basket swing is a great place to take a break and enjoy the flowers and singing birds.

Potted flower boxes and garden pots add color to the courtyard deck area. A fire feature adds an earthy element.

The courtyard deck and garden space has unique elements like a makeshift flower box – look carefully and you’ll see there’s a faucet fountain, too.

Sharing space on the deck is an outdoor dining table with pretty, black woven chairs.

Edison lights allow for nighttime dining. I have some of these myself that I need to hang above our deck by the pond. I love how the homeowner added decking in an unused space of the yard. Not all decks need to be attached to the house.

I also love the cottage vibe in this cozy courtyard. You won’t find high-end finishes, but you’ll find plenty of charm and space for outdoor entertaining.
