My White Dining Room

My home has gone through a lot of transitions, and my dining room is probably the space that’s changed more times than any of the other rooms.  The family who lived here previously used the room as a music room. When we moved in we used it as a dining room, then it became a TV room that went through a series of different colors, and now it’s a dining room once again and it’s painted white.

It took me a while to find the right shade of white, because not all white paint is created equal. I didn’t want anything that hinted of beige. My last house was new construction and all the rooms were painted Linen, which sounds pretty but it was a boring beige.

Pink Decor in a Farmhouse Dining RoomSteam White has bluish undertones which is exactly what I wanted. My dining table is painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White with Paris Gray legs. The side chairs are also painted Paris Gray.

These mats are great for pets and kids. I loved them so much I bought a few more for my other rooms.

Summer Decorating Ideas for the Dining Room via Town and Country LivingAfter turning our dining room back into a dining room, I accidentally stumbled upon the perfect buffet for storing china and silverware. And it just so happens to be painted in the same Old White that’s on my table.
