An Adorable Cabin, a Boutique Hotel + More: Friday Finds
Are you glad it’s Friday? Our snow is melting and the temps are about 30 degrees warmer than last weekend. The ice on the pond is gone and I can see the fish all huddled at the bottom, which is their typical winter behavior. This week was a little stressful because the bathroom floor was installed and the plumber came two days later to install the tub, toilet, and new vanity. I’m so glad it’s done and now all that’s left is to put the finishing touches on the room. Then I can share it here with all of you. I can’t wait! But for now, let’s see this week’s inspiration!

Take a tour of the most adorable cabin ever – by a design firm I just discovered on Instagram. The cabin is so cozy and I love all the paintings in the bedroom.
When you’re done ogling the cabin, step inside an historic boutique hotel, known as The Hasbrouck House in the state of New York.
There are so many talented decorators and designers out there, including Meredith Ellis. See a collection of her work – one of her bathrooms has a gorgeous mural wallpaper.

Blue is a soothing color and ranges in hues and saturation. See how to decorate with cornflower blue. You’ll even see an example of a light blue stain. So pretty!
I don’t know what’s going on, but lately I’ve had such a craving for home-baked cookies. I’ve been resisting the urge to indulge, but I might have to cave into my desires because these salted honey pistachio cookies look pretty darn good!
Tomorrow I’m off to babysit my three grandsons. I usually take some type of craft project with me to keep them busy. What are your weekend plans?
Ooooh, I’m drooling over all your inspiration – gorgeous cabin in England & hotel in NY. 😊 Love the Cornflower blue as a stain! I can’t wait to see your bathroom. Have so much fun with your grandsons xx
I love the cabin it is cosy without being dark or too masculine. I can’t wait to see the bathroom, I’m intrigued.
I had a great time looking through these. It’s been cloudy and rainy and I needed something fun to enjoy, Have a fun time with those grandsons.
