Christmas Floral Chandelier in a Breakfast Nook

Six more days until Christmas. How does it always sneak up on us so quickly? The days of waking early to join young children by the Christmas tree are gone. Instead, hubby and I get to enjoy a peaceful morning in our breakfast nook now adorned with a Christmas floral chandelier, before the scurry of little children and their parents fill our home.

I like to start the day with a quiet moment together over a simple breakfast.

The table is set with bottle brush trees that serve as a forested centerpiece.

Gold flatware and gold-trimmed tumblers add a little bit of glam to our Christmas morning table setting.

Mini boxwood wreaths encircle white pillar candles at each place setting.

A Christmas floral chandelier adds a bit of festive cheer to my farmhouse breakfast nook on Christmas morning. I love the romance that the chandelier provides in this small dining space.

This is the third time I’ve made a seasonal floral chandelier. My Christmas floral chandelier contains a live poinsettia with faux greenery cascading toward the table. A few sprigs of white berries complete the look.

A pair of Christmas wreath hearts from World Market adorn the built-in kitchen cupboard, while a few more trees line the cabinet front.

On Christmas morning I plan to serve raspberry stuffed French toast with a bit of scrambled eggs. Hubby usually makes the coffee and we’ll enjoy our good fortune of peace and quiet right here in our farmhouse breakfast nook.

Don’t get me wrong – I love the commotion when everyone arrives, but I relish the quiet of Christmas morning before all the festivities begin.

We’re almost ready for Christmas. I’m waiting on just a few more gifts to be delivered.

  1. I always enjoy seeing the many mirrors you have in your home.
Wish you would do a post on them sometime. How do you kknow WHERE to hang them before you drive the nail in the wall?
How do you know it will reflect a beautiful scene? Pricing for mirrors, choosing the correct size? etc. I need help!

Where did you find the mini wreaths you use on the plates with candles?

Looking forward to seeing your new dining room set up for the family dinner.

    1. Hi Nan!

Honestly, where I hang mirrors is kind of instinctual for me – but there are things I think about before hanging them. It will make a good blog post and I’ll write one in January. Thanks for suggesting that!

I found the little boxwood wreaths online – I think at Antique Farmhouse. They rotate their stock so finding stuff on their site is hit or miss. I’ve also seen them at HomeGoods. I did find some on Wayfair – a set of three with a ribbon. You could always clip the ribbon off. If you search for “small boxwood wreath” you might find something less expensive.
