Favorite Christmas Projects & Decor from the Blog
After the busy-ness of putting together my Christmas home tour this past week, I thought I’d take a bit of a breather and share some of my favorite Christmas projects and decor from holidays past – like this vintage style tree from five years ago.
Today is the first Saturday of the month which means it’s time to join my cozy living friends to share some of what we love during the month of December. Everyone’s links are at the bottom of this post for you to enjoy!
One of my top-pinned images from last year’s Nighttime Christmas Tour is this one of my bedroom. I do love the layered pom pom throws on the bed for extra warmth.
Last year’s Christmas porch was a favorite of mine for its simplicity of style. I’m not a big outdoor decorator at Christmas so this is about as good as it gets!
When it comes to Christmas projects, my frosty pine cone garland from six years ago is still one of my faves.
This construction paper village is another favorite Christmas project. I was lucky to find little snowmen and other miniatures to go with the houses. The Christmas village blog post includes a free template to make your own houses.
Speaking of villages, a few years ago I used $5 wooden birdhouses to create a snowy village. This was probably the easiest Christmas mantel I’ve ever set up.
Although I’ve recently veered away from color Christmas vintage decor, I do still love it and my vintage Christmas kitchen from several years ago is still one of my favorites.
On occasion I try my hand at making Christmas ornaments and I still love these mini paper mache box ornaments I made.

The wooden birdhouse village on your mantel is still my very favorite I think – so cute, easy, and affordable!
Those pom pom throws on your bed make me just want to cuddle up with a good book and cup of tea! So cozy! And I love your look back at Christmas favorites!

LOVED seeing all that Christmas goodness. So pretty. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas xx
I looked through all of the past 5 years Christmas tours and WOW. Your decor has evolved from bright white and country/farmhouse into cozy, nature-inspired moody decor that is the most amazing transformation ever. The atmosphere is soft, welcoming and relaxing with an interesting, one of a kind personality.
I did love the wide angle room shot photos of the earlier tours – lets followers see that this is a home that someone lives in and not a made-up photo in a staging area. No one seems to do that anymore – everything is concentrated on vignettes without relating it to the entire room.
Thanks once again for your beautiful holiday tour.
You’re amazing, Pat. Thanks for visiting all of my holiday home tours!! I wondered if anyone would take the journey back and see the changes that have been made. It’s funny you mention the wide angle room shots because I’ve been thinking I need to add those back in. That way people can see how the house flows. You and I are on the same wavelength! Thanks again for viewing my past tours. I’m a little surprised myself at how much my decor has changed!
I just had to look and see all the changes you have made in your home over the years, i t was fun going over all those tours and seeing all the ways you decorated your home. Thanks Jennifer you have changed some but you have kept your cozy warm feeling.
I simply loved the look back at how your home has evolved over the years, what a great idea! And beautiful as always!
I remember all of these projects well…so beautiful.
Nothing better than a good old fashioned Christmas craft! I loved seeing all of these creative projects!
