9 Ways to Create a Spectacular Fall Porch
If you haven’t decorated your porch for the autumn season, it’s not too late. Fall lasts another two months and there’s no reason not to enjoy a fall porch up until you switch to Christmas decor. Take a look at today’s examples for nine ways to create a cozy, festive vibe just outside your door.
This porch is adorned for a dinner party with a long table festooned with a fall centerpiece. Pumpkins and gourds line the steps down to a buffet table lined with snacks and drinks. If you live in a warmer clime, you could recreate something like this for Thanksgiving dinner.

Heirloom pumpkins and mums are always my go-to staples for outdoor fall decorating. Add in a wheat wreath and you’ve got the perfect entry for cooler days. The wooden front door and rustic-red shingle siding enhance the vibe of autumn days.
If you find a bargain on gourds, why not load up the car and spread them across your porch? The little red wagon is a cute touch, along with the vintage rocking chair and flying geese quilt. Summer petunias add a cool color next to all the orange.

How cute is that line of mini pumpkins across the top of this historic home’s front door? Pretty cute, I’d say. A pair of dried cornstalks flank the front door with its floral fall wreath.
A large porch calls for large mums leading to the front door. Here, a pair of green cornstalks is used, as opposed to dried. The color combination of the mums looks great against the home’s gray-blue siding.

Sometimes it helps to prop up pumpkins. A stone crock is used on the right, while a wooden step stool is used on the left. I like to elevate pumpkins if I’m grouping them so they’re at different heights.

I love this craftsman porch with its amazing architectural details. Early fall flowers and striped cushions in autumn colors on the vintage wicker chairs is all that’s needed. It just goes to show that you don’t need to go all out to create a pretty porch.
A charming playhouse features a whimsical fall entry with pumpkin ghosts resting in urns while a large coffee filter wreath adorns the door. The flower in the triangle above the door is such a clever idea. Don’t you love the expressions on the pumpkin ghosts?
Last but not least, colorful trees add their own decoration outside a white historic home with pumpkins stacked on the porch.

I love the mini pumpkins over the door what a smart idea. Also loved the white boo pumpkins in the urns. So Cute!
Hi Diana,
You like the same ones as me! I wish I had a ledge over my front door to line up mini pumpkins like that. I wonder if they blow off in heavy winds? Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Love the simplicity and natural beauty of the last picture.
Me too, Deb! Sometimes simplicity is best. 🙂
I think I like the last one there’s nothing like natures pretty colors in the Fall.
