Amazing Americana Home Tour, Fall Perennials, and More: Friday Finds
Happy Friday, friends! A bit later today I’m headed for a day at the beach – all by myself. I always head to the Michigan lakefront in Lake Forest which is a little over an hour drive from my house. The beach is pristine and uncrowded and is totally worth the drive. It’s the perfect spot for a little me time. But now, let’s see what’s in store for Friday Finds.
First up, treat yourself to a fun dose of Americana when you step inside a stunning Michigan lakehouse. Not only does the home have a fun palette of red, white, and blue, but the owners enjoy spectacular waterfront views, too.
For those of you who enjoy softer tones, tour this charming project house in Austin with a serene neutral palette and timeless interiors.
Explore some of my favorite blooming autumn perennials that you can add to your garden now for a colorful display this fall.
See how to make a charming peplum lampshade for any lamp in your home. I’ve always loved peplum, especially in fashion. In fact, one of the main reasons why I chose my wedding dress is because it had peplum, along with gauntlet sleeves!
On my last trip to historic St, Augustine, I fell in love with vintage Florida style and have never forgotten its timeless beauty. Take a tour of this Sarasota home in the Maine Colony that retains much of its original charm.
Enjoy your weekend! Our town’s annual festival starts today so our quiet little suburb is going to be buzzing!

Sarasota post was great. I wish everyone felt like these people. I really appreciate historical homes and buildings.
Glad you enjoyed it, Diana. I like that house too!
Enjoyed all the home tours and flowers and that cute lamp shade diy. Thanks and have a great weekend.
Thanks, Marlene. We’re having a hot weekend – hopefully the last of the hot and humid weather, but I doubt it. LOL.
