Spring seems to be taking its sweet time to get here. We’re teased with a day or two of warmer breezes, and then the temperature drops again. Clearly the daffodils didn’t get the memo that spring was dragging its heels coming into town. Sigh. I keep telling myself, “Soon.” But patience isn’t my best virtue…
Welcome to Friday Finds where you’ll discover a collection of decorating ideas and inspiration that I’ve found throughout the week. Sometimes I discover new blogs or websites and that’s always a treat for me. Today I’m featuring a couple of home tours, camp style decorating, and more. Camp Style Decorating Let’s start the day off…
Next week I’m heading to beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina to enjoy warm weather, sunny days, historic homes, and gorgeous live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss! I can’t wait. The southeast part of our country – specifically low country – is one of my favorite places in the United States. Are you ready for some…
Spring is officially here – finally – and some of you might be taking a trip for spring break. Or perhaps you like to stay home and avoid the crowds. On a whim, my daughter and I decided to head to South Carolina with my granddaughter during the first week of April. We’re staying in…
Daffodils are poking up through the ground, the sun is shining, and the weather is warmer! But I still haven’t seen the first robin of spring though. Maybe this weekend I’ll get lucky and find one. In my mind, it’s not officially spring until the robins return. Today’s Friday Finds are pretty inspiring, but then…

Another week is over and the weekend begins! March is right around the corner and that means the crocus will be coming up soon and the robins will return. I can’t wait for spring to arrive! I’m sure you all feel the same way, too. I’ve featured Courtney’s beautiful work before, but she stopped me…
Happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you celebrate Cupid’s holiday or not, I hope you’re able to find some peace and love on this whimsical holiday. Sometimes the moments of greatest blessing can be found in the smallest of things, whether it’s the purr of your cat, the snuggle from a child, or a kind word from…
Yesterday I actually felt a pep in my step and the hope of spring waiting to be celebrated soon. I’m not really sure why I felt that way, it wasn’t particularly warm or sunny. It’s just a feeling that settled into my soul and I was happy for it. This week I also found plenty…
This is the time of year when you can drive home from work and it’s no longer dark outside. It might be dark by the time you get home, but at least there’s hope of longer days. March 18th marks the first day that the sun will set at 7:00 pm here in the Chicago…
We’re just two months away from the first day of spring! January has gone by pretty quickly, and February is short, so I’m remaining hopeful that the winter doldrums won’t drag on. For now, I’m enjoying quiet days indoors, trying new recipes, thinking about what book to read next, and perusing the internet for decorating…

Have you taken down your holiday decorations yet? We took the tree down and now I just need to put away a few Christmas pieces. It feels good to not have tons of decor to pack up and place back in the attic. Now it’s time to take a look at some things around the…
Whew! Christmas is over and it’s time to look forward to a new year and new opportunities. I’ve decided to make 2025 a year for self improvement. I just started an Invisalign treatment to straighten my teeth and next I’m consulting a dermatologist for skin care. I already see the dermatology doctor for skin cancer,…
