The Snuggery: An Uplifting Beach Home You’ll Love

Today’s uplifting beach home by Stephens & Company, Inc. is located in the Boston area and features beautiful architecture and some amazing light fixtures. I’m impressed not only by this home’s chandeliers and lights, but its open spaces with bright and airy appeal.

The first thing you see in the spacious living room is the stone fireplace. It leads your eye up to the vaulted ceiling with a wood beam, from which is suspended a unique light fixture – simple and rustic.

The living room opens up to the kitchen; a perfect space for gathering family together or entertaining friends.

In the kitchen, pale blue paint covers the cabinets, while rustic pendant lights hang over the kitchen island. Wall-mounted lights suspend over the sink and windows for additional lighting on gloomy days or in the evening. Note the gorgeous wooden goose above the cabinets.

Dark chocolate floors and dark gray cabinets add a bit of drama to the beach home kitchen.

The dining room is just off the kitchen and features a beautiful built-in shelving unit with a collection of sailboat oil paintings.

Just off the pretty white dining room is a home office in a room filled with windows.

A hallway reveals wonderful architecture such as transom windows and wall molding.

A butler’s pantry features glass front top cabinets beneath a planked, vaulted ceiling. This uplifting beach home has so many wonderful details.

I’ve always loved a gorgeous stairway and this u-shaped one is fabulous. I’m also a fan of wood and white together.

Here’s a view at the top of the staircase. A beautiful and somewhat rustic pendant light illuminates the steps at night. I love all the natural light that pours into this house.

A wall of custom cabinetry fills the wall of one of the bedrooms. Wouldn’t it be great to have all that storage space?

Creamy white walls and pure white trim adorn the bathroom with its beautiful tub shiplap on the bottom half of the walls.

The outside of this uplifting beach home reveals as much character as the outside with its cedar shake siding typical of eastern coastal homes.

  1. I can’t figure out how….the height of this cottage can have such a high staircase???? It’s a beautiful house and i love it! I love the shiplap…not because of the fixer upper show but because my A-Frame is filled with cedar ceilings and the house is 32 years old..

  2. Oh my, that spherical swirly light fixture is fantastic. Wish I had that one. Great house. Thanks for sharing.

  3. I’m totally perplexed, after seeing the exteriors of The Snuggery…I even went to the link to view the additional photos…how all of those interesting interior angles were created. However it was done, it certainly has made for some amazing interior spaces.
