It’s All About Beautiful Houses + More: Friday Finds
As a kid, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed like an eternity. Fast forward to today, and it seems like those weeks are just a matter of days. It’s no surprise that people plan earlier for Christmas than they used to. To keep stress to a minimum, I toyed with the idea of not putting up a tree this year, but I caved this past Monday and added a smaller tree to our redecorated living room, which you’ll see next week.
Another stress-reducing thing I did was to get all my shopping and gift wrapping done before Thanksgiving. Now I can spend this in-between-holidays time to relax or go out and have fun. This is probably the most relaxed I’ve been this time of year! But let’s move on to Friday Finds which include several gems.
Let’s start with a Gatsby-inspired home on Long Island. It’s beautifully decorated and includes the paint colors used (all by Farrow and Ball).
If you missed it, be sure to check out this year’s Holiday Housewalk by my friend, Jennifer Rizzo. This is the first time since 2014 that I haven’t participated but I enjoyed viewing all the festive homes on the tour. I always find new ideas!
Are you hosting any visitors this holiday season? See how to spruce up a guest bedroom with 15 ideas from Benjamin Moore. Any of these ideas could be applied to other rooms in the house, as well.
Do you bake holiday cookies every year? Consider adding Sweetened Milk Snowballs to your festive line-up. This recipe only calls for five ingredients and they look so cute!
If you enjoy admiring Christmas trees, look no further than these 12 trees curated by Country Living magazine. I love them all and the crafty one is kind of fun.
We’ll end with a tour of a new-build home in California that’s decorated for Christmas to look vintage. It’s a breath of fresh air!
Stay tuned for next week – I have a special giveaway on Monday for you and on Wednesday I’m featuring my Christmas living room. I’m anxious to share it with you!
Love the Gatsby inspired home & really enjoyed Jen’s Holiday Housewalk.xx
Thanks Jennifer that was fun.
