Stunning Craftsman Kitchen for Those Who Love Blue
Who loves the color blue? If you raised your hand, you’re sure to love this cheery craftsman kitchen by Julia Chasman Design that’s not afraid to embrace this beautiful hue. Add in some pops of green in the form of fiesta ware dishes and you have a fun, colorful cooking space. (This post contains affiliate links.)
Dark wood floors and white walls help ground the azure blue cabinetry in this charming craftsman kitchen with its wonderful details like toe holds, wine rack, and open shelves.
A built-in banquette adds convenient seating for the breakfast nook with its corner windows adorned with bamboo shades. A fun pop of red is included with a small step ladder for reaching items on the top shelves in the kitchen.
A framed vintage print adds color and charm on the bead boarded vent hood. I’ve noticed a trend in displaying vintage oil landscapes and lithographs these days.
Subway tile lines a cozy coffee and toaster nook underneath azure-hued cabinetry. The kitchen is efficiently functional as well as being cheerful and pretty.
Blue and green pottery lends an element of art to the open shelves. If I’m not mistaken, I believe that’s Fiesta ware. Perfect for a craftsman kitchen!
There seems to be an increased interest in blue kitchens lately. When I bought my first home (also a craftsman), I opted for one blue cabinet. It was called “country blue” back then – a grayer, softer shade of blue. The rest of the built-in cabinetry in that kitchen was natural wood.

I love it, and the Blue Willow platters just make it.
It is a very cheerful place to enjoy cooking in, lots of lovely natural light too.
