My Favorite Christmas Decorating Trick with Wall Art

Decking the halls usually means hauling out the garlands, wreaths, and trees. It can be a lot of work but one of my favorite Christmas decorating tricks is swapping out your everyday wall art with holiday art in about the same size. You don’t have to wonder where you’re going to hang a banner or wreath, the spot is predetermined with your existing artwork. And what’s even better, you don’t have to add any new nail holes or hangers to your walls. I scoured some of my favorite shopping sites for Christmas artwork and am sharing a few of my favorites. One of my favorite holiday prints is this quaint church with sheep as seen in my breakfast nook. It replaces a tobacco basket for the holiday season.

Another one of my favorite pieces of holiday art is my O Holy Night sign. I got it several years ago at Kirkland’s. I don’t know if they carry it anymore.

An evergreen tree painting from Pottery Barn is a great piece to add for Christmas, and it will last through the winter season, too. Actually, you could keep this artwork up year-round.

Here are some Christmas decorating paintings and prints I found that would be great options to swap out for your existing artwork. I can’t think of an easier way to update your holiday décor. Click the links for sources on where to buy.

  1. Great idea! Now I’m getting excited to decorate for the holidays!
Do you remember where you got the Christmas balls used with the O Holy Night sign, did you make them? I love the simplicity of how you decorated that table.
    Thank you!

  2. This reminded me that I have a framed winter sheep print somewhere and need to get it out. Those prints on canvas board at $13 a pop are a real bargain. Thanks!

  3. Love all your decor! Do you recall where you might have purchased the orbs in the wooden box below the O Holy Night sign?

    Thank you
