A Low Profile Christmas Table Setting
When I talk about a low profile Christmas table setting, I’m primarily talking about the height of what’s on the center of the table. Today I’m joining the Styled + Set group to bring you holiday entertaining ideas.
If you’re following today’s loop of entertaining posts, Anita at Cedar Hill Farmhouse is the blogger before me. Welcome!
While elaborate arrangements and tall candlesticks are beautiful, you have to remove them when dining so people can see each other across the table. Today’s Christmas table setting proves that you can still have a pretty dining table without fussy drama.
I do like candlelight when dining and chose my collection of Pottery Barn gold and burgundy votive holders since they’re short but still add a bit of glamorous, cozy appeal.
A few frosty greens act as a table runner.
Our local greenhouse had cute star and Christmas tree wooden ornaments that I placed at each setting as a take-home gift for guests.
I used my favorite dark gray Marin plates from Pottery Barn on top of gold chargers. I like these plates because they turn up at the edges.
Burgundy napkins echo the rich jewel color of the votive holders in my low profile Christmas table setting.
A few metallic ornaments on the table add a little bling. Little by little the Christmas decorating is getting done. I’m trying not to overdo it this year (I say that every year, I think).
