The Best of New England Homes and Fruity Recipes: Style Showcase
August is one of my favorite months in large part because the farmer’s markets are brimming with locally grown fruit and veggies. I make a pit stop at least once a week to stock up on whatever’s available. When I can’t eat everything I buy, I make muffins with the fruit and casseroles with the veggies, which you can freeze for later. And speaking of what’s in season – check out the fruity recipes in this week’s Style Showcase collection.
Southern Hospitality | Delicious Fig Cake
Rhoda is sharing her family’s fig cake recipe and sure does look delicious. I have four Chicago hardy figs in my yard but they don’t produce fruit until a bit later. However, figs are currently at the grocery store so you might want to try out this tasty recipe.

Town and Country Living | Discover the Charm of Kennebunk Homes
I still dream of our Maine vacation and hope to go back again – maybe to Bar Harbor or Camden for something different. Check out today’s Kennebunk historic homes from our past trip. One is just as beautiful as the next.

Duke Manor Farm | Summer Strawberry Snack
Laura’s strawberry snack recipe looks like it’d be a hit with my grandkids. I’ll have to make this for them next time they come over.

Finding Silver Pennies | Blueberry Coconut Cocktails
While the kiddos enjoy the strawberry snack, the adults can enjoy Danielle’s blueberry cocktail. Doesn’t it look yummy?

If my blog friends keep sharing recipes, I may have to start working out more! Anywho, enjoy the rest of your summer week!
