The Best Cozy Homes and Coastal Kitchens: Friday Finds
Eeeeek! I have some fun news to share. My grandson has been longing to visit Japan so I told him 2026 is the year we’re making it happen! We plan to visit (along with his mom) during cherry blossom season. If you’ve ever been there, please let me know your favorite places in the comments at the end of this post. I need all the help I can get to plan this dream vacation with him and have been scouring the internet for the best places in Japan. There’s so much from which to choose!
Enough of my news, are you ready for some treasures to enjoy? Here’s what I found this week:
Who’s ready for some fall decorating? If you raised your hand, you don’t want to miss this fabulously vintage farmhouse decorated for the autumn season.
And if it’s cozy warmth you’re craving as summer makes its farewell, tour the “Buckeye Home” that feels like a big warm hug the minute you cross its threshold.
Enjoy your summer hydrangeas all year long by drying them to display indoors. The English Home gives a few different ways for drying these beautiful blooms.
Are you on Instagram? If yes, you’ll want to follow @littlesanctuaryonadriana with her collection of beautiful home decor photography.
For those of you not quite ready to let go of summer (that includes me!), explore this post about how to create a coastal kitchen to give you a breezy vibe all year long.
Enjoy your weekend! I might do some baking with the fruit I found at the farm market.

That is so wonderful,I have friends that went their this year,if I can get any info for you I will send it along. What a dream come true for your family.
I have a bottle of scent in my room with cherry blossoms smells divine.
Carol.
What wonderful memories you are creating! I really enjoyed the Florida home. Fort White is in a rural area well known for antiques and antiquing.
Thanks for these great tours, those houses were so fun and loved the coastal cottage kitchens.
Hi Jennifer,
What exciting news! I am so happy for you and your grandson! If you’d like to, please reach out to me via email. I’d be happy to give you some recommendations. I lived there for a year and a half and I traveled through quite a bit of it. Definite musts are Kyoto and Nara. I think you will really enjoy all of it!
