Tomato Garlic Dipping Oil
Today I’ve got a tasty treat for you that can be eaten as a snack, or served to guests as an appetizer. Tomato Garlic Dipping Oil is super easy to make and tastes oh so good with a crusty loaf of Italian bread. (Recipe at end of post.)
My hubby and I enjoyed this tomato garlic dipping oil the other night with a bottle of red wine.
Honestly, it ended up becoming our dinner. It was that good.
Pour a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil into an oven safe dish.
Toss in a handful of grape or cherry tomatoes, along with a couple cloves of garlic.
Place in a 400 degree oven for about 8 minutes, or until tomatoes start to wilt.
Allow the oil to cool slightly, then pour into a shallow serving dish.
Slice up a fresh loaf of crusty Italian bread.
Dip your bread into the mixture, and enjoy!
It’s a great way to use grape or cherry tomatoes that might otherwise go to waste.
Tomato Garlic Dipping Oil
2 cups extra virgin olive oil (the higher the quality, the better)
1/2 cup grape or cherry tomatoes, left whole
2 to 3 cloves garlic, peeled
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place all ingredients in oven safe dish. Add tomatoes and garlic cloves. Roast for 8 minutes or until tomatoes just start to wilt. Remove from oven and cool several minutes before serving.
