A Remarkable Guest Cottage, Your Wallpaper Style, and More: Friday Finds

Football pre-season games have started, kids are back at school, and days are getting slightly shorter. This is a favorite time of year for most people as summer’s heat begins to fade to cooler breezes. Our summer has been so humid this year that I won’t be that sad to see it go. I may change my mind and mourn the loss of summer once winter rolls around, however.

See if you agree with the one they chose for your state. I wasn’t at all surprised at which town made the list for Illinois – our family heads there every Christmas!

What are your weekend plans? I’m watching three of my grandsons tomorrow and plan to take them to a movie since it’s going to be a rainy day. Also, on my to-do list is taking photos of my kitchen and my living room to share on the blog in the near future. I finally hung the last of the artwork up on the walls in my living room.

  3. Sorry, but Ithaca NY doesn’t hold a candle to the towns on the East End of Long Island–East Hampton, Montauk, Sag Harbor, Bridgehampton and Southampton! Quaint towns and some of the most fabulous beaches in the world!!!
