Today’s charming home tour features Robin from Happy at Home. When I look at photos of her house, I think she’s achieved exactly what her blog is about … being happy at home. She has a pretty yet practical style, pairing vintage finds with homemade decor. Her garden is gorgeous too, and I can’t wait to show you her home!
Robin created a quaint patio next to her front sidewalk. What a clever way to use this often overlooked space. Rather than plant a few bushes, Robin made it a usable place to enjoy during the summer months.
The kitchen dining nook has an equally charming light fixture.
The table is exactly what I’m trying to find for my own kitchen. One day I’ll find it.
You’ll find Shelby Girl throughout Robin’s blog.
She’s an adorable dog! Here, she’s enjoying a chair in the family room.
Robin adds simply country style to her dining room.
She changes up the look of the chalkboard on the wall from season to season.
Robin makes clever use of space in one of her bathrooms by adding shelving in a small alcove.
You know I love those vintage bottles on the 2nd shelf!!
Soft blue and white populate Robin’s charming master bedroom. You really need to follow her blog to see how resourceful she is in making things for her home, like the curtains, bedspread, headboard, and more!
Robin is a girl after my own heart, with a wonderful vegetable garden!
Hers looks so neat and tidy compared to mine.
When she needs a break from gardening, Robin can enjoy her gravel patio. This is similar to what I’d like to add right outside our back door.

My oldest daughter Stephanie gets married next June. As we plan for her formal wedding at Hotel Baker in St. Charles, I find myself looking back to my youngest daughter Bridget’s wedding this past October. While Stephanie’s wedding is all glitz and glam, Bridget’s wedding was a DIY rustic wedding held on a farm. We…
Spring is in the air and I’m lovin’ it! When it’s nice outside, I love to be outdoors enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. My springtime porch is where I like to relax and unwind when the weather warms up. Today I’m joining some of my blogging buddies for the Outdoor Living blog hop where you’ll find…

Flea markets are my favorite shopping haunts but this summer I haven’t been buying too much. Sometimes I’ll find a ton of stuff (too much stuff, really) and other times at the market I’m just not into it. Everything starts to look the same. Does that ever happen to you? Here are this summer’s flea…
Having arrived home from England on Saturday evening left me little time to enjoy the weekend. But I managed to deadhead all the fading flowers and worked around the pond a bit to clean things up. We had a tornado come through town while I was gone and fortunately, none of our trees were knocked…
For the most part, my kitchen is white. Some people think a white kitchen is cold, sterile, and even boring. In my opinion, a white kitchen looks clean, bright, and airy. Don’t get me wrong – I like kitchens with color in them. I just prefer to live with a white one so I can…
