Charming Home Tour ~ Shades of Blue Interiors

Charming Home Series, home decor, home tour August 30, 2015

Have I got a treat for you today! I’m thrilled to show you the beautiful home of Rachel from Shades of Blue Interiors. Not only is Rachel super talented when it comes to home decor and painting furniture, but she’s funny and caring and I absolutely love her bubbly spirit!

Blue and White Living Room at Shades of Blue InteriorsYou might remember seeing this photo of Rachel’s blue and white living room. I recently shared it in my “Living Rooms to Love” post … and I do. Love her living room, that is.

Blue and White Living RoomIsn’t it gorgeous? I love how she paired a vintage looking chandelier with a geometric rug

Blue Bench in Front EntryYou’ll find lots of soft blue colors in Rachel’s charming home, like this painted bench in her entry way. Note that her front door is blue, too.

Kitchen Cabinets Painted WhiteWhen Rachel gave her kitchen a makeover, she painted her cabinets white.

It really brightens up the space and gives it a fresh look.

Eat in Kitchen with White Painted CabinetsAnother chandelier graces the eat-in dining area of Rachelle’s kitchen.

French Country Dining RoomAnd speaking of dining, this is Rachel’s Thanksgiving tablescape from last year. I love how she added a rich blue runner beneath the natural centerpiece.  But blue isn’t the only color Rachel loves.

Green Sofa. Fabric painted with Annie Sloan Chalk PaintThere’s this gorgeous green sofa that she painted with Antibes Green Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I’ve been tempted to paint upholstery but haven’t been brave enough to give it a shot. Rachel’s green sofa is tempting me to try my hand at it.  Rachel has a gift in transforming furniture with paint.

Antique Bed in Master BedroomRachel’s master bedroom has a beautiful headboard that takes center stage.  And did you notice the mason jar lights on either side? She’s so clever!

Master BathroomAnd then there’s the master bathroom! Rachel artfully mixed rustic pieces with a white background for an industrial chic look that’s creative and unique.

Daybed in Girl's BedroomFor her daughter’s bedroom, Rachel incorporated a painted daybed. A pom pom garland gives the room a festive look. You’ll find more amazing inspiration like this when you visit Rachel over at Shades of Blue Interiors.

Hi Vicki! They appear to be working now. I think it must’ve been a temporary glitch. Thanks for letting me know though!! 🙂

I have one of these brass and Crystal chandeliers, it has right lights Ann’s has been in the house since 64, problem is, I don’t like it. I took it down and now it sits in the garage. I probably need to donate it to ARC. Thank you for the beautiful, serene home tour!
