Happy Wallpaper Week! Did you know such a thing existed? This week on the blog I’ll feature beautiful rooms with wallpaper. I’m starting off with a gorgeous craftsman dining room by Prospect Refuge Studio.
My first house had rich wood trim like this – and I did wallpaper the dining room with a Colonial style small print. This dining room has a larger pattern of ferns.
The mirror on the opposite side of the trio of windows reflects the natural light around the room.
I find the fern wallpaper to be an interesting choice, but I like it in this space. I like the green with the wood tones – plus I tend to like unexpected decor when I see it.
The craftsman dining room has a pretty yet simple light fixture. The wrought iron matches the black of the side board and chairs. The table is set simply yet beautifully.
In the mirror you get a glimpse of the adjoining living room.
The true focal point of this room is the gorgeous built-in hutch. I had one of these in my first home’s dining space. It had a mirror and leaded glass doors just like this one. Sometimes I wish I still lived in that house!
Tomorrow I’m sharing a yummy appetizer recipe from a favorite TV show, but Wednesday I’ll be back with another wallpaper post to celebrate International Wallpaper Week!
