How about Christmas dinner in a festive barn? I remember several years ago seeing a barn decorated for Thanksgiving day in Martha Stewart Living magazine. It was in Martha’s barn and hay bales took the place of dining chairs. I thought it was such a clever and quaint idea. This barn is a little more upscale with a gorgeous table, simple wooden chairs, and holiday lights and decorations.

Candles are really all that’s needed for a cozy Christmas dinner, but feel free to add small boughs of evergreens to create a makeshift runner. I always love the idea of a Christmas tree in a dining room. It adds sparkle to the space.
I love the button-tufted upholstered chairs in this festive Christmas dining room. I also like the application of three runners laid across the short side of the table as opposed to one long runner down the length of the table. A couple of reindeers and small birds at each place add the vibe of nature.
