Welcome to another edition of Farmhouse Friday where a group of farmhouse bloggers gather together to celebrate our favorite decorating style! This month we’re showcasing how to display or decorate with dishes. Farmhouse style is both functional and pretty. Displayed pieces around the home serve a purpose, whether it’s a basket holding textiles or an…
Goodbye bamboo script mats. Hello new dining rugs! I’m adding cozy warmth to my home this fall and winter by replacing my bamboo mats with cushy rugs. (This post contains affiliate links.) Since today is the first Saturday of the month – it means it’s Cozy Living Saturday where my blogging friends and I…
Summer is hot and humid here in Illinois so the color blue is perfect for cooling things down in our farmhouse family room. Blue also lends itself to a coastal theme which I’m slowly adding to the room. I’m also adding beach style to my son’s old bedroom and will share that with you when…
If you live in an old farmhouse like I do … you know your number one challenge is storage! We have one closet in our house. That’s it. Just one. So I have to get creative when it comes to storage ideas. Here’s how I manage to organize things with farmhouse style storage. (This post contains…

This month I’m joining 30 talented bloggers to bring you a handmade Christmas ornament every day. We’ve each chosen a day to feature our ornament, and today it’s my turn. I made a few Mini Christmas Box Ornaments that are super easy and don’t take a lot of time. And when you’re done checking out…

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
