Welcome back to the Charming Home Series here at Town and Country Living! Â Today’s tour features a lovely cottage home by the sea that I found over at Houzz. We’re taking a little break from the Christmas festivities to showcase a charmingly elegant home. Farmhouse Entry by South West Interior Designers & Decorators Stephanie Dunning…
Before we had modern conveniences, the American kitchen wasn’t meant as a gathering spot for entertaining family and friends. Since there were many more steps to cooking and creating meals in the early days of our country, the kitchen was the workhorse of the home, as opposed to being the heart of the home. But…
Whenever someone asks me what my favorite room is, I always say it’s the kitchen. Not just for the way it’s decorated, but for what it means on a daily basis. The kitchen is where you provide nourishment for your family. It’s where loved ones come together during the holidays and special gatherings. And of…
Last Sunday we traveled to Sweden to tour a charming villa. Today we’re in Spain touring a home located on the Bay of Santander. The light and airy Spanish house was done by the Design-Build firm of Canexel located in Madrid, and features elements of charming cottage style. White wood ceilings and creamy white walls…

I think think you’ll find that a “less is more” approach can end up making a bigger visual impact. Photo by Julie Ranee Photography The predominantly white kitchen is the perfect backdrop…

Love it all.
I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.
Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.
Jennifer, I LOVE your touches of Christmas in your dining room. I need to work on mine today. I just may borrow a few of your ideas. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, Gail

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

SO pretty! Love the book page runner idea. I’m impressed, you’re ready for Saturday already!
Simple and festive, Jennifer. I love it!
So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
It’s all so very pretty…love all of vintage ornaments that you have used.
