Farmhouse Christmas Dining

Christmas, cottage style, country style, dining room decor, farmhouse style December 21, 2012

A little green and white pair together this year to set the scene for a farmhouse holiday dinner.

Mismatched white dinnerware is flanked by vintage silver plate.
Book pages provide a makeshift table runner.
The white glasses are identical to ones my grandmother had.
When I found them at the flea market I had to take them home with me.
Vintage ornaments provide color and whimsy.
No fussy table setting for our farmhouse table.
Glittery blue stars hang from the back of each chair.
A simple centerpiece sits atop the book page runner.
This year, I’m hosting a Christmas dinner with my family on December 22nd.
My daughter will have all of us in her home on Christmas Day.
Beyond the table, the buffet wears a little bling.
A couple of Santas keep watch over the Christmas festivities.
Even the dry sink gets decked out for Christmas this year.
And so the stage is set for Saturday night.

I love the simplicity of it all Jennifer. No fuss and clutter, just beautiful useful pieces and a lovely touch with the white glasses like your grans. Don’t you love it when you find thrifty finds that remind you of a time in your own childhood.

Very fresh looking, Jennifer! Love the simplicity of your table setting. The book page runner is very creative. We are going to our daughter’s for Christmas day also. I still have no idea what we are having Christmas Eve, but it will just be myself, hubby and our son so I’ll keep it easy and simple.

Love the green and white. I have lots of red this year so this gave me the idea to do some white with all of it on the table. I have lots of white so no excuse to do the same old boring thing I always do.

So soft and pretty. I love the simple decor and what a great idea to decorate each plate with a couple of bulbs. The green looks perfect against the neutrals.
