Fascinating Kitchen Renovations, a Cozy Townhome, and More: Friday Finds

Our weather dropped by about 20 degrees this past week and it sure has put me in the mood for fall! I’m thinking of all things autumn related like pumpkin spice candles, baking in the kitchen, going for walks through crunchy fallen leaves, and more. It’s surprising how a change in weather can affect your mood. All this to say, expect more fall-inspired posts here on the blog. But for now, see what special finds from the week are waiting for you.

Tour a Greenwich Village townhouse that was built in 1899 and renovated, but not necessarily in a good way. Thinking of a fall getaway? Explore 15 of the best small towns to visit in Michigan. I’ve been to three of them and they were all wonderful! I’ve vacationed at Saugatuck, South Haven, and New Buffalo. Next weekend I’m heading to Sawyer, Michigan, and although that town isn’t on the list, it looks pretty charming to me.

You can still find peaches at farm markets and before mine spoiled because I couldn’t eat them all in time, I made this wonderful peach muffin recipe. They’re the best muffins I ever made! I’ve also made this Paula Deen inspired peach cobbler that was equally yummy and smelled oh so good when baking in the oven. I think when it comes to any kind of baked fruit, peaches are definitely my favorite.

Everyone loves a good kitchen renovation, and these four kitchens don’t disappoint. You’ll see before and after photos that help provide the whole story for each project. I think I like the second one best. How about you?
