A blogging friend of mine shared her gorgeous summer home tour over at Seeking Lavender Lane. Deb’s style has evolved over the last couple of years into something truly fantastic. Subscribe to her blog if you want to see more of her creativity.

For me, a staple menu item for the summer months is old fashioned potato salad. I sometimes make this recipe (my grandma’s) and eat it as a meal all on its own!

Another blogging friend, Danielle at Finding Silver Pennies, shared the perfect starfish wreath tutorial for summer. I love Danielle’s easy coastal style.

Have you heard of Jacklyn Peters? She’s a designer I recently stumbled across and I think you’ll love this tudor home she worked on.

In a restful nod to the great outdoors, I found these beautiful outdoor beds that are perfect for napping or reading. I’ve always felt summer is the perfect time to start a new book.

And finally, I stumbled across this breakfast nook makeover reveal at Pinterest and found it belongs to a fellow blogger at Place of My Taste.

Hope you enjoy your weekend – stay safe out there!

  1. Your blog is a breath of sunshine. The turbulence in our country, our state, our city is so awful and so stressful. Thank you…

  2. Being born and raised a Central Florida Cracker I just HAD to check out your potato salad again. I had forgotten that you used evaporated milk. I love that! However, I MUST confess that I was shocked at the omission of SWEET RELISH!!! Why oh why did Mimi neglect to add that one most absolutely necessary ingredient in her Southern Potato Salad? Perhaps she was a Southerner who had migrated to the North and felt obliged to forego the relish in passive aggressive protection of her Southern roots? We’ll never know will we? All joking aside, may I so very humbly suggest to give the sweet relish a try? LMK what you think. Heart heart

  3. Potatoe salad is my favorite in the summer. I almost make it the same way accept for a couple of ingredients, thanks for reminding me. You have a great week, it’s getting real hot here in Oklahoma ugh!!
