How to Transform Your Space with Unique Wall Art Ideas
Are you tired of a certain room in your house but don’t currently have the time or budget to do a big makeover? No worries – transform your space with any of these unique wall art ideas.
A vintage restaurant sign looks great in a kitchen or dining room. You can find items like this at flea markets and vintage shops. We have a huge flea market near us the first weekend of every month. They sometimes have items like this.

I love this next idea – wooden spoons of all sizes mounted to the wall. I’ve got the perfect wall in my kitchen for this type of display. That means I need to go to the flea market to find a bunch of wooden spoons. You can also find large wooden spoons on Etsy.
A more traditional type of all art is a gallery wall of prints and paintings. Add a unique touch by adding objects of art like a vintage brush or anything else that suits your fancy. Unexpected elements are a nice way to break up the display and add some whimsy.
A mural is a fantastic way to add unique wall art to any room. A faded tree scene decorates the main entry to this beautiful home. You can have murals painted by hand (expensive) or buy wallpaper murals that are more economical.
Vintage mirrors are a favorite of mine. I have several and used to have a gallery of mirrors in my dining room. I’ve since spread them around the house, and some are in storage. I may have to recreate the mirror gallery somewhere else in the house though. I love the look of it. The addition of metal serving pieces is a nice touch in this dining space.
Framed prints and embroidery samplers line the wall of this historic home’s living room. What makes it unique is the way the pictures are lined against the wood planks.
How cute is this display of fish plates? Have you ever seen plates you want but you don’t need them so you pass them by? Next time, think about making unique wall art with them. I love how they’re facing different directions.
Vintage posters can be colorful and really eye-catching. This Chablis poster mimics the color of the kitchen cabinets beautifully, while adding a nice shot of orange and yellow to the room.
Many of you probably have a plate wall rack in your home. They’re great for displaying dish collections, like white ironstone. You can find new or vintage at flea markets or on Etsy.
Another option for unique wall art is a wall basket filled with faux flowers. I first saw this pretty room when I featured the Randolph Cottage a few years ago.

Last but not list on our list of fun wall art ideas is a pairing of colorful farm animal prints. Stack a big one over a little one, or vice versa, for added impact. Cute, right?

Do you have a favorite from today’s collection of unique wall art? I’ve already started shopping for oversized wooden spoons on Etsy!
Wonderful examples! TY!!
These examples of wall art are really inspiring. The fish wall art is cute, creepy, weird and fun all at the same time.
LOVE that vintage plate rack. The farm animals are always a favorite too. You reminded me to get the wall basket out for spring, it is finally warming this week after a cold ten days and two tiny snows. While I prefer cooler weather, I am over it this year. It seemed endless and more cold weather and snow than usual.
That frameless mirror that looks like a badge or shield is special, but the large flower vase on the wall is superb. Same picture, the sofa is wonderful and cosy. I wonder how hard and expensive the flower vase would be to copy, I have a spot 🙂
Thanks for all the lovely and creative ideas.
