A Beautiful Charleston Home and Chantilly Cake: Friday Finds

This summer has been busy and I’m struggling to keep up with my blog schedule, but so far I’m managing. But I’m going to get even busier in the not-too-distant future. My daughter Bridget is pregnant again (baby number five!!) and needs a larger home. You might remember her first house, a charming bungalow that they moved out of once they had their second child. The housing market in our area is challenging right now so she’s looking at new construction this time around. Maybe I can get some photos of the decorated model homes to share with you.

Enough of my stuff. Let’s get on to this week’s Friday Finds that I think you’ll enjoy.

Check out this stunning Charleston house with exposed brick walls. I think brick walls make a home feel cozy and warm.

A fellow blogger shows her super cute bedroom makeover that I think she did a great job with. I’ve been thinking about switching out the bedding in my own bedroom for a fresh look.

I love cottage curtains and I found this article on various curtain tips that you might enjoy – especially if you’re in the market for new window dressings.

Are you looking for some sun-loving perennials? It’s not too late to add a little color to your garden.

And finally, impress your friends this summer with this heavenly Berry Chantilly cake recipe. It almost looks too good to eat!

That’s it for this week – I hope you have a wonderful and not too hot weekend!

  3. I was so interested in reading the article about the bedroom makeover. So disappointed that the ads almost totally blocked the copy so it was impossible to read. ๐Ÿ™
