Finding Home and Chantilly Cake: Friday Finds #98
Wow. It’s been a month since my last Friday Finds post. This summer has been really busy and I’m struggling to keep up with my blog schedule. At least the busy-ness is all good stuff that includes caring for our expanding garden and helping my daughter find a new home.
Bridget recently sold her charming bungalow since the birth of her third child made it obvious they need more space. She and her family are currently staying at her mother-in-law’s house who is living in her second home in Florida. So they have the house to themselves but the family is anxious to find their own place.
The housing market in our area is challenging right now due to a recent increase in prices and a limited supply of available houses. They did place an offer on this cute house but were outbid. So the search continues.
Anywho, let’s get on to this week’s Friday Finds that I think you’ll enjoy.
Check out this stunning Charleston house with exposed brick walls. I think brick walls make a home feel cozy and warm.
A fellow blogger shows her super cute bedroom makeover that kind of reminds me of my most recent bedroom makeover, except she used board and batten on her walls and I used beadboard – and the colors are different too.
Yesterday I shared a post about café curtains and then I found this article on various curtain tips that you might enjoy – especially if you’re in the market for new window dressings.
Are you a fan of farmhouse kitchens? The Kitchn blog talks about whether the trend is here to stay.
You don’t want to miss this before and after image gallery of a beautiful Connecticut home. Not a lot of significant changes were made, but the result is stunning.
I recently shared my favorite sun-loving perennials on my sister blog, Pond and Garden. Take a look and see if you agree with my flower choices.
Impress your friends this summer with this heavenly Berry Chantilly cake recipe. It almost looks too good to eat!
That’s it for this week – I’ll try to be more diligent about posting Friday Finds each week for you. Enjoy your weekend!
Thanks for this post, I have missed it. I loved that Charleston home, wood floors and ceilings and brick wall, such a dream home.
