Minnesota Lake House: Charming Home Tour
Summer will be here soon so it seems appropriate to tour a lakefront home to get in warm weather mood. Today we’re heading to Minnesota to see a beautiful lake house by Lands End Development and BeBe Design. The home is warm and inviting, with a few little quirks tossed in for fun!

In the living room, the walls reflect board and batten siding as seen on the home’s exterior. Rich wood floors, ceiling, and trim keep the room cozy while a brick and wood mantel fireplace add warmth on cooler evenings. Simple Roman shades allow full views out the window to the gorgeous scenery outside.

The lake house kitchen comes alive with pale blue cabinets.

A red range adds an element of fun surprise. Note that the pendant lights are similar, yet different.

Attention to beautiful detail is evident throughout the Minnesota lake house. A built-in nook with wall sconces creates a cozy reading corner. A rich wood cabinet overhead provides a space for storing favorite reading materials.

The dining room enjoys twin pendant lights that provide a soft glow above the table. I love that the wood ceilings run throughout the main living areas, helping to unify one space to the next. Pretty upholstered chairs add an air of elegance.

Another dining space awaits just outside on the screened-in porch. Red and gold striped shades add just the right punch of color.

Painted shiplap graces the walls in one of the lake house bedrooms where a spindle bed takes center stage.

Red makes another appearance in a guest bedroom. Simple twig artwork adorns each bed (note to self: collect the fallen branches in the yard and make one of these grids). White, feminine bedding pairs with the more rustic artwork. Pairing opposites is a great way to create visual appeal in a room. I always love the surprise of the unexpected.

When you live on a lake, it’s important to have comfy seating on the porch to enjoy the waterfront views. Matching plaid throws allow you to linger longer into the cool nights.

The lake house and outbuilding are quaint and stately at the same time. I love the simple lines of the architecture. I wish I were in Minnesota right now to go lounge on those Adirondack chairs and drink in the view.

A corrugated metal fish greets you upon arrival at the lake house. You know fun things will happen at a vacation home with a fish gate!
