Sensational Staircases, Two Home Tours, and Paris: Friday Finds
I’m happy to say that I kept all my New Year’s resolutions for 2025, which was to focus on my health. I lost 15 pounds, had a mammogram, braved having four wisdom teeth pulled, straightened my teeth with Invisalign, received cataract surgery on both eyes, and pampered myself with a few Hydra facials. Can I just say I’m tired of medical appointments? LOL. But seriously, I’m glad that’s all behind me and now I can focus on this year’s resolutions (which at the time of this writing, I’m still figuring out).
Let’s start off this year’s Friday Finds with some amazing treasures!

Check out this quaint Maine home located on a slope near Camden, overlooking Hosmer Pond. It’s exactly what you’d expect to see in an old New England home. It’s a diamond-in-the-rough story with a happy ending for the home.
And here’s an older home that might prove unlovable to some of you, while others will adore it. A range of colors is used throughout the interior spaces, and some rooms use an unconventional mix of patterns. Let me know what you think!
Ashley, at Little Glass Jar, created the most charming bedroom for her daughter and honestly, I would sleep in that room! You’ll love the vintage wallpaper.
On my sister blog, Pond and Garden, I added a new post about transitioning Christmas floral arrangements into winter arrangements so you can extend their life and enjoyment beyond the holidays. One of my 2026 resolutions is to post more frequently on Pond and Garden.
Don’t ask me why, but I always love a good staircase in a home. Something unique and a little out of the ordinary. If you feel the same, you’ll enjoy a selection of stair railing ideas. My favorite is the pool cue balusters.
I’m wrapping things up with an amazing Christmas in Paris post, written by my friend Kelly at Eclectically Vintage. There are a lot of photos that make you feel like you’re right there with her! It’s the trip of a lifetime.

Wow, that must feel amazing that you tackled all of your resolutions! I admit that I am a little envious as I have some of those same type goals to accomplish in 2026. Thanks for the fun post today- I always look forward to ‘Friday Finds’! I loved that Maine cottage, and spent a day in Camden this past summer, so I’m a little bit familiar with the area. It’s so beautiful. Happy New Year!!
You are an inspiration!!! You give me hope that I can keep up with some of my resolutions ๐๐๐๐

Congratulations on reaching your 2025 goals! I also had cataract surgery. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I love facials and go monthly for the basic one, and once in awhile treating myself to an extra add on. 2026 is the year I want to lose 15-20 pounds. Hope I can!
Great job completing 2025’s
resolutions!
I really enjoyed this post, so many things to look at.
