  1. Found this site and the article on southwest Michigan. Raised on a farm in New Buffalo, The area is of course a big fruit area but also general farming during that time of cattle, hogs, chickens, etc. I have numerous photos of many areas of Michigan, many in the UP. I am a graduate of Michigan State University college of Veterinary Medicine, having practiced in the mid west for considerable time. In 1978 I moved to Oregon where I practiced for 34 years. Here also it is beautiful, with some similarities to Michigan and many differences. Now retired, I live in the high desert area of central Oregon. There is so much beauty all around us in so many areas of the world and so many of the experiences of life. That is why I found your publication of interest
