Talented Mother-Daughter Decorators and More: Friday Finds
Our week has been pretty rainy so far but I’m hoping to get outdoors at some point this weekend. When fall rolls around, I feel like I need to make the most of each moment to take in all the beauty that surrounds us outside before Old Man Winter strolls into town!
Since it’s raining now, I can catch up on some blog posts to get ahead of schedule. I’ve got a real treat in store for you on Sunday! But for now, let’s grab a cup of coffee and see what made the list of this week’s treasures for Friday Finds.

Today’s list of treasures starts with a mother-daughter combo. First up is the amazing kitchen of Annie Meyers Shyer. You might recognize her name because her mother is filmmaker Nancy Meyers! The apple didn’t fall far from the tree when it comes to interior design and decorating. You don’t want to miss Annie’s beautiful historic kitchen renovation.
But that’s not all. You can see more of her Los Angeles home renovation that has tongues wagging. And if that’s not enough, you can pick up a copy of This Oak House to learn more about the home’s beautification process and enjoy 150 photographs that document the home.
October is finally here and if that doesn’t have you in the mood for pumpkins, maybe this collection of DIY fall centerpieces from The Pioneer Woman will give you some fall decorating motivation.
Just when you thought you’d heard or seen it all, along comes a crumbling old cowshed that gets new life as a stunning kitchen filled with natural textures and superior design elements.
This time of year has most of us using the color orange in some way, shape, or form when decorating for the season, whether indoors or out. When thinking of the outdoors, consider adding this list of orange flowers to your garden (some you can plant now!). I always add a bit of orange to my gardens to create interesting pops of energy.
Enjoy your weekend – get outside and relish in nature’s beauty if the weather allows!
