This week I finished my Christmas shopping! I love when that task is done because now I feel like I can kick back, relax, and enjoy some Christmas outings and activities. I’d like to head into Chicago before the big day – the city is always so beautiful this time of year. And of course I’ll take photos of the decorations to share here on the blog. First up is a charming Idaho cabin tour, shown above, owned by fellow blogger Laurel from North End Loft. Laurel’s blog is one of the first I’ve followed. She hasn’t written anything new for a while, but her blog is still published.
House and Garden shares their official dos and don’ts for decorating a Christmas tree. I personally feel there are no rules for this task. Follow your gut, add what you love, and if it’s beautiful in your eyes – you’ve succeeded!

I finally visited Chicago for the first time last month while on a road trip around the Great Lakes. I can only imagine how delightful it would be to see it at Christmas time!
