Wonderful Idaho Cabin, Christmas Ideas, and More: Friday Finds

This week I finished my Christmas shopping! I love when that task is done because now I feel like I can kick back, relax, and enjoy some Christmas outings and activities. I’d like to head into Chicago before the big day – the city is always so beautiful this time of year. And of course I’ll take photos of the decorations to share here on the blog. McCall cabin in Idaho

First up is a charming Idaho cabin tour, shown above, owned by fellow blogger Laurel from North End Loft. Laurel’s blog is one of the first I’ve followed. She hasn’t written anything new for a while, but her blog is still published.

House and Garden shares their official dos and don’ts for decorating a Christmas tree. I personally feel there are no rules for this task. Follow your gut, add what you love, and if it’s beautiful in your eyes – you’ve succeeded!

Enjoy exploring a collection of kitchens decorated in rich hues and cozy warmth. I’m loving the ones with red tones – so pretty!

I have to confess that I didn’t find this holiday home tour just this week. It’s from eight years ago but I remember it well and wanted to share it today. The decorating is so thoughtful and personal.

  1. I finally visited Chicago for the first time last month while on a road trip around the Great Lakes. I can only imagine how delightful it would be to see it at Christmas time!
