Friday Finds #40: Blooms for Spring

friday finds March 5, 2021

Hello friends! It’s time for another installment of Friday Finds and sharing interesting and inspiring things I’ve stumbled across this week.

Pink Hyacinth planted in a glass tumbler

One thing I’m enjoying this week is the increased number of spring flowers that are available at the grocery store. I picked up a hyacinth this week because I love their fragrance. I always get the purple ones because their scent seems to be more potent than the white and pink ones.

I also grabbed some yellow tulips to help decorate for next week’s spring home tour. I’m joining blogging friends who all next week are sharing their homes decorated for spring. My tour is on Monday so I’ve got a little bit of sprucing up to do this weekend.

Another thing happening on the blog next week is a book giveaway! I’ve got a beautiful coffee table book to share and I’ll choose a lucky winner to receive a free copy – so stay tuned for that!

Let’s get on with this week’s Friday Finds. I found some real goodies that I think you’ll enjoy.

First, I came across a new-to-me blog that I fell in love with. Jenni blogs at I Spy DIY and I came across her mudroom renovation on Pinterest. That of course led to me spending quite a bit of time exploring her blog, but it was time well spent.

In a previous segment of Friday Finds I mentioned that Benjamin Moore chose Aegean Teal for its color of the year. Well, Janet at JRL Interiors took that one step further and showed complementary colors for decorating with Aegean Teal.

If you’re looking for a fun Easter project, check out my DIY bunny eggs. They’re fairly easy to make and look cute at an Easter table setting.

Another fun spring project is this gorgeous floral wreath from Ann at On Sutton Place. She shares the tutorial so you can make your own!

I’m super excited to share this stunning cabin makeover reveal by Bria Hammel that’s sure to impress you. I couldn’t stop scrolling back up and down to take in every detail. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Enjoy your weekend ahead! Tomorrow is Cozy Living Saturday with a few friends so be sure to stop back to see what we’ve got going on – you’re sure to find a bit of inspiration. And then Monday is my spring home tour. See you then!

      Hi Miche!

Yes, I love the cabin! I love the designer and I might feature one of her other projects this Sunday. She does fantastic work. 🙂

Looking forward to the spring tour. I Spy DIY did have some really great ideas and I Pinned her closet from the Container Store. The mud room makeover was a true makeover…what a difference!

I loved the cabin photos and want some of that vintage furniture! I suspected the pieces were but looked at the end of the article to see if any were purchased. Unfortunately, none are in stores. Well, I will have to keep looking on my travels for some beauties like those pictured.
