Decorate Pumpkins with Grapevine Wreaths
If you’ve been on Pinterest lately or perusing home decor blogs, it’s likely you’ve seen some type of vine-wrapped pumpkins all dressed up for Fall. I’ve been anxious to decorate pumpkins with grapevine wreaths to add a little pizzazz this season.
I have to confess, I didn’t think to add the hydrangeas until I saw Lucy’s fall-inspired hutch at Craftberry Bush.
To decorate pumpkins with grapevine wreaths, gather your supplies. All you need is white pumpkins (or color of your choice), grapevines, and hydrangeas. Luckily, I had enough grapevines from the yard for this project.
Wrap a length of grapveine around your pumpkin making sure it’s snug. Slip the ring of grapevine from the pumpkin and wrap the ends around each other so that a circle is formed.
Keep wrapping the vine around itself until you have about 3 strands in the wreath. You could add more layers if you want a bulkier look.
Clip the end of the vine when you’re done, and tuck the end between two strands of the wreath. Then slip the grapevine wreath over your pumpkin, which should fit snugly. You don’t want it falling off.
Tuck a few sprigs of hydrangeas or other embellishment between the vines.
When you decorate pumpkins with grapevine wreaths, try to leave as many of the curlicues on the vines as possible to add a bit of whimsy and character.
Then place your embellished pumpkins around the house. So easy, and so cute!

Definitely so cute! Of course, white, hydrangeas, and grapevines are all among my favorites. Oh, yes, let’s not forget blue.
Loved looking at your creations…

Super cute! I wrapped vine ribbon on a couple of faux white pumpkins last year and pulled them out again this year – they were still in tact – yeah. I like how simple yousr are and the hydrangeas make them extra beautiful. Love your photography, as always.
I am in love with these pumpkins!! I am excited to be featuring them on my blog, Sept. 30th. I hope you will stop by for a visit 🙂
Make it a great day!
Beautiful pumpkins Jennifer! I love the color combination.
Love the textural effect a few simple strands of grapevine do to a pumpkin….they look great!
