Spring Decorating in a Farmhouse Kitchen

I love spring! The lengthening of days, birds chirping outside, spring bulbs poking their flowery heads out of the ground, and the promise of life that this season brings. I would be happy living in a Disney movie with Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder! I know that might sound a little dorky, but it’s true. This week I’m celebrating spring by joining hands with several other ladies to bring you, “It’s a Spring Thing.” If you love spring like I do, be sure to visit these gals for spring decorating inspiration (schedule at end of post).

Spring Decorating in the KitchenThis week I’ve been adding touches of spring decorating in my favorite room … my farmhouse kitchen.

Spring Flowers in a Farmhouse KitchenEver since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to pastel colors.

They look so delicate  yet refreshing against a white background.

Place daffodils in a white basket to conceal their plastic potsSunny daffodils add perky fun in a white painted basket.

Spring decorating with flowersI can’t make up my mind. They’re all beautiful!

Spring Decorating in a Farmhouse KitchenThis little corner of my farmhouse kitchen is welcoming spring with open arms.

Last week I shared a spring table setting in the kitchen dining nook.

I have more spring decorating to share on the other side of the kitchen, so stay tuned!

And now for the rest of this week’s “It’s a Spring Thing” tour …

  1. Oh Jennifer you have Spring displayed so beautifully in your wonderful kitchen. I went back through the pictures a few times. Love the pretty sweet colors of Spring with your flowers. Love the little white basket with the daffodils. Let’s hope we will see those outdoors soon. Happy Spring. Gorgeous decor.

  2. Your spring display is so pretty. I can’t wait to see these flowers actually blooming in our yards. Iguess we have to wait a little longer now that there is another snow storm heading our way. Thank you for sharing and bringing a little spring into our wintery world.

  3. Jennifer it all looks gorgeous!! You really captured all the best of Spring in your decor and I now have “Zippity Do Da” in my head! LOL!

  4. Really pretty, Jennifer! Love the pink flowers with your aqua vases and bottles. I always seem to be drawn to pastels as well. And yes, “Zippity Do Da” in my head too, thank you very much! : )

  5. I actually like both the yellow and pink together, can’t pick just one! I think this whole arrangement is just lovely, you did a beautiful job. I really love that blue vase with the handles. -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
