7 Fall Table Settings for Cozy Dining

fall decorating, table setting September 12, 2020

Fall is a great time to gather with friends or family for a home-cooked meal. The earth is bearing its harvest and people move gatherings from the outdoors to inside. Today I have a collection of 7 fall table settings to inspire your intimate celebrations.

Fall table setting with apples and autumn flowers

September is apple-picking season and I love the simple runner of golden apples in the photo above.

The photo below shows a better view of the pretty place setting. A round bamboo place mat adds texture while the leaves on the plate give a nod to autumn.

How cute is this pumpkin shaped bowl? Perfect for serving soup, salad, oatmeal, or quinoa bowls! Soft orange flowers, pears, and mini pumpkins complete the look.

For one of my past fall table settings, I used burgundy as the main color and paired it with my amber stemware. The plates bear leaves and berries and sit atop wood chargers.

The centerpiece for this tablescape includes a hurricane candle for cozy appeal. The tablecloth is actually a quilted bedspread.

A simple white table setting is the base for faux leaves and acorns tied around pretty white napkins with raffia. The flatware features wonderful details!

I love using real linen when setting a table. I paired the neutral tone tablecloth and pom pom napkins with my vintage brown bottles.

Although this linen tablescape was created in January, you could use this idea for the fall season.

A more elaborate fall table setting is perfect for an elegant gathering or special celebration. Note the rich tones used in the flower arrangement. Plain white plates keep the focus on the flowers.

A string of twinkly lights gets added to the centerpiece for an evening meal.

As we head into fall, our gatherings will be limited since the virus remains with us. Make smaller family dinners special with pretty table settings.
