An Amazing Fall Wreath for Your Front Door: A Seasonal Welcome

Now that autumn’s crisp air is settling in, adding a fall wreath to your front door is a perfect way to embrace this cozy season. A fall wreath is typically a blend of nature’s rich colors, textures, and elements that evoke the spirit of harvest and thanksgiving. (This post contains affiliate links – see my privacy policy.)

I love the fullness of this wreath featuring natural materials like dried leaves, nuts and fruit, and small sprigs of wheat. The palette of yellow, orange, brown, and dark green looks so rich against the blue siding of the home’s exterior.

Choose a simple wreath made with just one natural element and dress it with a simple burlap ribbon.

You can find a large fall wreath made with faux foliage at HomeGoods, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby – but wait until they’re on sale for the best bargain.

For something different, forego the wreath and be a little more creative. Fill a hanging planter with greens, berries, and a small pumpkin.

Double doors don’t require identical wreaths. This home uses two grapevine wreaths of the same size decorated slightly different.

If you enjoy a DIY project, consider making your own wreath. Craft stores have a variety of wreath bases, from grapevines to wire wreaths to florist foam. And remember, the wreath doesn’t have to be perfect to look good. This slightly messy wreath is pretty on its red door flanked by coordinating mums in urns.

If you decide to flank your front door with flower arrangements, you can use some of the same elements in the wreath that you use in the potted flowers.
