An Amazing Modern Tudor Home and More: Friday Finds
Today I’m still battling jetlag and the time difference from my trip to Japan. I was truly impressed by the culture and beauty of this country on the other side of the globe. While I loved visiting temples and historic streets, part of my heart still longed for the comforts of home. I’m editing my photos from the trip and will share them soon. But for now, let’s dig into this week’s Friday Finds!
First up is a new-build modern Tudor home located in Minnesota. The entire design revolves around the three-season porch where the family can enjoy the best of the natural views. If you like warm, natural wood, you’ll enjoy touring this house.
Today’s the first day of May and The English Garden is sharing the best seeds to sow this time of year. I was happy but not surprised to see that two of my favorites, zinnias and cosmos, are on the list. I think I’ll do a little seed sowing this weekend. How about you?
And once those zinnias are blooming – throw a zinnia party with a beautiful tablescape similar to the one James Farner created. Your party doesn’t need to be as elaborate, but the lengthy centerpiece can easily be recreated in a shorter version.
See an inspiring small space living room located on the second floor of a home being renovated over at Grit and Polish. Once part of a bedroom, the couple realized the space would work really well as a cozy place to gather with a small sectional and sloped ceilings. It’s so charming and cozy!
How much color do you like in your home? Discover a designer’s seaside cottage that’s a true testament to the joy of decorating with color (in particular, Farrow & Ball color). For those who prefer neutrals, this home might be a bit much for you, but a variety of styles is what makes the world turn.
Tell me, are you excited that gardening season is finally here? In addition to sowing seeds this weekend, I’ll also be tackling the jungle of weeds that seemingly sprouted overnight! Enjoy your weekend, whatever you might have planned.
