Celebrating Memories of Home with Heidi Caillier Design: Book Giveaway

Guess what? It’s time for another book giveaway here at Town and Country Living! Memories of Home by Heidi Caillier is a book I’ve been waiting for. I pre-ordered it back in March and it’s finally been released – which means I can now offer a free copy of this book to one of my readers. I love the eclectic, traditional appeal of Heidi’s interiors. She’s a master at mixing pattern and color and her book reflects her great talent with a variety of her design projects. Here’s just some of what you’ll see in the pages of Memories of Home. Simply leave a comment below to enter for a chance to win her book. The winner will be announced September 15th, 2023. Memories of Home - interior design book by Heidi Caillier

You’ll find 256 pages of Heidi’s beautiful design work inside the book. I love that she can design in both light and moody colors and has no qualms about pairing things that you might not consider putting together in the same space. She’s a big part of the inspiration that has motivated me to update my own interiors.

This pretty corner of the room could’ve easily been featured in Thursday’s post about cozy corners. The chairs embrace a feminine vibe with their ruffled trim. Add a bowl of flowers and pleated shades on the lamp and you’ve got even more romantic appeal.

The rusty red trim in this dining and living room combo is probably a color I’d be too shy to use in my own home, but I love it here. Paired with the blue plaid dining chairs, it’s perfect.

You may have seen this popular kitchen on Pinterest. The terra cotta tile works beautifully with the green cabinets and black counter tops.

If you prefer a little less color and pattern, Heidi can do that too. I truly think you’ll enjoy her style as you flip through the pages of her book, Memories of Home.

Light and airy with brighter colors isn’t a problem for this designer, either. A Queen Anne home gets a fresh look with more modern furnishings. The book has something for everyone.

I’ve noticed an affinity for windowpane checks in Heidi’s designs. The pattern works great with stripes and florals alike.

A ruffled, linen pillow sham pairs with a more traditional plaid and floral pillow on the bed, while a pottery style lamp stands nearby. Toss in a couple of vintage books and you’ve got a wonderfully eclectic look in the bedroom.

A larger windowpane check on an ottoman pairs with geometrically graphic chairs in this cozy corner.

Not afraid of wallpaper, grass cloth was chosen for this bedroom with a pretty Jenny Lind bed. My brothers had this wallpaper in their bedroom growing up.

I’ve been following you for almost a year now. I am always surprised by the insights and views of houses and apartments in American culture. They differ significantly from those in Germany. We would call it conservative. But I enjoy all the beautiful pictures and get a little closer to your people.
Kind regards from Berlin – Germany
