Dalgona Whipped Coffee Recipe for Summer

cozy living, Recipes June 13, 2020

Yes! Summer is here and the cooler days are officially behind us. This is my favorite season – when the earth is brimming with life and everything is green. This is also the time of year when I switch to iced coffee and I’ve got a tasty dalgona whipped coffee recipe that’s sure to hit the spot on any summer day!

Dalgona Whipped Coffee Recipe

On a side note, today is our Cozy Living Saturday series. Our group decided to postpone it one week due to everything that’s been going on. So be sure to visit my friends’ links at the end of this post to see what June goodness they’ve got planned.

But seriously – doesn’t this coffee look like ice cream? And it’s super easy to make, too. You just need instant coffee, sugar, a little bit of water and ice, and your choice of milk.

Whipped Coffee for the Summer Months

Combine your instant coffee, sugar, and water in a mixing bowl and whip til creamy and it holds a foamy texture. Fill your glass a little more than halfway with milk and ice, then add a frothy layer of the whipped coffee on top. It’s that simple!

How to Make Dalgona Whipped Coffee

You can add decoration on top, like coffee beans, chocolate swirls, shredded coconut, cookie crumbles – be creative! Feel free to add a tablespoon of flavored coffee syrup to the milk, too. Doesn’t a glass of dalgona whipped coffee look perfect for summer? See the full recipe below.

Oh boy does this coffee drink look yum! Thank you for sharing it! I love your blog too!!!!!! Can’t thank you enough for your wonderful and inspiring posts. Hate to get political but thank you for noting that the protests include looting and craziness. I think if EVERYONE could JUST GET ALONG and BEHAVE, we’d be an amazing country. Guess that’s easier said than done.

What, I had no idea you could brew up something so pretty with just those ingredients. I add maple syrup to my iced coffee every morning, have you ever tried that? It’s delicious and a natural sugar and I can buy it from my neighbors farm!
