Would you like to learn how to make these simple DIY tissue paper flowers? Today I’m sharing a very easy tutorial over at Live Creatively Inspired. I had seen some fancier flowers made from script tissue paper in a local boutique but didn’t want to spend $6 apiece for them.
So I looked online at a few tutorials – some are simple, some are more advanced. I decided to go with something easy.
Simple and sweet, these DIY tissue paper flowers are much less expensive than fresh flowers and last longer.
And now for something completely different …
A stray cat had her babies near our home and when they were old enough, I brought them inside. We were able to find good homes for all but one of them, and decided to keep this last one.
I’ve named him Felix because my favorite cartoon as a kid was Felix the Cat. Isn’t he cute?
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of COUNTRY Financial® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. Someone once pointed out the irony that being a parent is about the only job that requires no training. It’s one of the most important jobs the majority of us will face, yet we don’t spend…
My friend Jennifer Rizzo has graciously offered to give 5 of my readers a FREE spot in the ‘Building a Creatively Made Business 2.0’ online course that she’s teaching with Marian of Miss Mustard Seed and Jeanne Oliver. This is an amazing opportunity if you have a creative business … whether it’s a blog, an…
Someone once told me we’re creative because we’re made in the image of God, and God is the ultimate creator. We are all creators of something. Some of us create homes for our families, some create ideas for others to execute, and some of us create trouble! And sometimes we re-create, expanding on someone else’s…
Several years ago I purchased an Ikea cabinet to house my computer. The pieces came in a box with illustrative assembly instructions (no text – just pics). I’m proud to say I put this cabinet together all by myself. Although the wood grain was pretty, I decided to paint and embellish it. This is the…
You may think it’s weird but one of the things I love most about my home is my farmhouse kitchen windows. They’re extremely difficult to photograph because it seems like light is always pouring through them. So today when I woke up early, I thought I might be able to snap a few pics and…
This weekend my family and I are headed to Galena, Illinois for our annual Christmas celebration. I love that we do this every year – we get to spend more time together and my kids can spend Christmas Day with their in-laws. Plus I don’t have to cook or clean in advance – we rent…
Hey Jennifer, the flowers are beautiful! And so is your new Felix 🙂
I made some ornaments using dried hydrangea flowers, I’d love if you’d pop in and check them out.
I’ll run over and see how you made these pretty flowers. I LOVE making stuff cheaper than you can buy them. Makes me feel powerful… haha!
Pretty, pretty, pretty! I love these delicate flowers!
